SHRM Online:
“Adrienne was a thorough, detail-oriented editor for SHRM and a delight to work with. Her in-depth knowledge of business and human resource management (HRM) helped ensure the society's flagship publication maintain its strong reputation as an authoritative source of HRM information. Since leaving SHRM, she is still one of the organization's most sought-after freelancers and continues to be one of my "go-to" writers for those tough-to-tackle assignments.” February 24, 2009
Theresa Eversole , editor , SHRM
“Adrienne is an excellent all-around editorial professional: writer, editor and manager. In addition to being an accomplished writer herself, she is particularly experienced at crafting well thought out and well-sourced assignments for freelancers and managing the editorial process. She has a knack for making a "silk purse out of a sow's ear" when submitted copy does not meet editorial standards. She has subject matter expertise in global business matters, among other things.” September 26, 2008

Speech Writing:
“Adrienne Fox has provided excellent support for me and the Speakers Bureau for the last year and a half by drafting several well crafted speeches -- each about 4,000 words -- as well as sharp accompanying PowerPoint slides. She turned around each project quickly and was always ready to take on special support requests on short notice.” September 12, 2008

Speaking:
Thank you so much for being a speaker at TWB’s Building Better Benefits via Social Responsibility workshop. The feedback we received from participants was overwhelmingly positive (if not glowing!) and your framework for the importance and relevancy of CSR in Human Resources was the perfect context for the rest of the event. So thank you for helping to make the event such a success.

Letters to the Editor:
It was a pleasure to read Adrienne Fox's "Achieving Integration." We can never lose sight of why we exist in our profession - to ensure the people function of our businesses works. Our HR role is pivotal, but only in the context of the specific business we are in. I so appreciated Fox's example of the company that measures its HR success in terms of alignment of culture/goals and capacity for support of the business. HR's success is dependent upon its alignment with the basic values/strategies of the company, and its ability to support those values/strategies. HR cannot succeed if it is not fully integrated in the business, and if the business is not fully aligned with HR's people strategies. HR strategy cannot exist in a vacuum, and we should, as people professionals, strive for synergy with our businesses.

I just wanted to take the time to say I really enjoyed this month's magazine. When I got the magazine in the mail, I was surprised and happy to see such an interesting topic and lengthy article about if the workplace makes employees fat. Please have more of these types of articles! As a young HR professional, sometimes I feel that HR magazine is a bit stuffy and boring, but this time I read it cover to cover, so please keep up this good work!

I just finished reading Adrienne Fox's March 2008 article, The Brain at Work. I am so pumped up about it, I had to write to the Editor, which is something I've never done before. The title itself drew me in. The article was very educational for a non-scientific person like me (my high school science grades could prove that). The examples were from real-life circumstances. The diagrams were formated beautifully which drew me in to read every word. Several points in this article I've read or seen before, but didn't sink in until now. It had the same affect for new information. This is an article people from all walks of life can benefit from. It has cleared up so much emotional impact to brain function mystery. I also have confirmation of the root of my stressors! I have been to seminars that use the catch phrases written in this article, but they didn't explain why, for instance, if you think positively, positive things will happen. During those seminars it almost seems like a command; usually no rational reason is given. A lot of times trainers just say, "Try it. You'll see, it works." This article told me why it works. Now I feel proactive to do it.
